Dr. JingTao Yao received the Ph.D. degree from the National University of Singapore, Singapore. He is currently a Professor with the Department of Computer Science, University of Regina, Regina, SK, Canada. He taught in the Department of Information Systems, Massey University, Palmerston North, New Zealand; the Department of Information Systems, National University of Singapore, Singapore; and the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Xi?an Jiaotong University, Xi?an, China. Dr. Yao serves as a member of Editorial Boards of various international journals and Guest Editor of Neurocomputing, the International Journal of Approximate Reasoning, the International Journal on Multi-Sensor, Multi-Source Information Fusion, and, Transaction of Rough Sets, and Fundamenta Informaticae. He was an Elected Chair of Steering Committee and Fellow of the International Rough Set Society. He has been a Chair or a member of Program Committee of numerous international conferences and has edited many volumes of conference proceedings. His research interests include granular computing, rough sets, data mining, electronic commerce, Web intelligence, and Web-based support systems. He has over 100 papers in these areas and received over 3000 citations according to Google Scholar.
