a. Open My Documents directory
b. Open Folders pane (navigation chart on the left side of the active
window)
c. Create subdirectory CSC101lab in your My Documents directory.
d. Open subdirectory CSC101lab
e. Create subdirectory LAB1 in your CSC101lab
directory
f. Open subdirectory LAB1
g. Create folder Folder1 in your LAB1 subdirectory
h. Create folder Folder2 in your LAB1

Word 2010
Lab assignment #2
Credit: 20 pts.
You will need
a USB flash memory for this assignment and for all future assignments.
1. Create folder Lab2 on your USB memory device.
2. Click and open this MS Word document:

and save it in folder Lab2 as Lab2source.doc.
Your goal will
be to create document on MS Word 2010 format similar to this
one:

3. From menu Programs select MS Office 2010 and MS Word.
4. Open document Lab2source.doc just saved.

Save the document as Lab2report.doc in folder Lab2.
5. Update document properties.

Overtype your last name, first name, and insert date-and-time (with the
auto update option) in the places indicated in blueprint.
7. Correct all the spelling errors in the entire document, except for
publisher's note.

provides informetion on how to do that:

8. Replace all the occurrences of text hard with text soft.
9. Change the font of the body of the article in Lab2source.doc to Arial 14 pt.
10. Create header that will

Tip:
You may use help (search for key word "footer") that
provides information on how to do that:

11. Cut the CSUDH logo and paste it into
the footer.
12.
From the menu Page Layout, change the format of the entire document
from one column to two columns. Manually fix small imperfections, if
any.
13. From the menu Page Layout, set
indentation (first line) to 0.49"
14. Align the body of the text to full justification.
15. From
the menu Page Layout, Page Color, Fill Effect, tab: texture, fill the
entire document with texture in the lower left corner of the texture
array.
16. Place the text highlighted yellow in a one-cell table.
17. Highlight in Turquoise the text the features previously found only in
desktop publishing software.
18. Activate changes tracking option with all text in balloons and with
connecting lines.

19. Find three incorrect words in the document (one of them is repeated
several times) and correct them.
20. At the end of the document, create a table 3 x 2 and fill it with

to compute fixed payments on a 30 years loan with predetermined but
variable interest rate.

Then copy cells C2,

Make the interest rate increase in 0.01% increments.



Adjust
